Ability to split large recordings (concerts, interviews) at markers using iPad app

Long recordings (e.g. of concerts or interviews) need to get split up as individual tracks for later listening or referencing. For files either recorded directly with the iPad (possibly in combination with mobile devices like the Zoom H4N and its stereo microphone or the stationary Alesis io Dock), a "Split at markers" feature needs to be added to the iPad app. Apparently this is already possible with the Mac version. Once split, the individual tracks can be listened to (and transferred to a computer for burning to CD if desired). This feature would give TwisterWave some additional muscle otherwise only found in far more expensive software such as WaveLab. It's also more fun and intuitive to scrub through recordings and add markers while sitting with one's iPad on the sofa instead of having to fire up a computer to do it.

Import audio files from memory card

Not sure if apple allows this or if it's possible at all but it would be great if you can import audio files from a memory card using the USB iPad adapter and a card reader. Are images only allowed for this transfers? Then I could load sound recordings straight into the iPad, edit and then upload them to a server.

Pre roll and punch in

I'd really like to use Twistedwave instead of Protools for recording audiobooks. But, it's really important to have a pre roll and punch in function with long form narration. I wonder what other audiobook narrators feel? I loveTwistedwave, but, recording without this function would add many hours to the editing phase and would be a very inefficient way for me to work. Would you consider adding pre roll and punch in in the future? Thanks,

24bit/96kHz recording and playback for external audio devices

There are some professional interfaces on market that support the iPad. (e.g. RME UCX). But no app can record AND playback in 24bit/96kHz although the iPad has this feature. TwistedWave would be the FIRST on market for professionals who are looking for mobile audiodevices with this highend feature.

Name document BEFORE recordng

This is a workflow enhancement. Current problem with workflow: Create new document (auto-generates generic name and displays the Record window), record your spot, go to Send File options and the file has the same generic name as the auto-named default, so change the name to what you want and send. Go to send another version and you have to again change the name because it's still the generic default name. Document name is not changed/saved when you name the file to send. Workaround: Create new document, exit Record window and return to Documents list, rename document, then go back to recording. A workaround, but not an efficient workflow. Suggested Improvement: Option to name file when the file is created BEFORE entering the Record window. Tap plus sign to create a new document and display a pop-up prompting for new file name (okay to pre-fill with generic default). This way, the document is already named before recording, and when we go to send the file, it is already properly named.

Video Playlist - random

Hallo, I like your website and the way you respond to folks. I wish your entrepreneurial spirit well. I know this may not be in your line of interest or expertise since it is video related. But I cannot understand why there are not simple apps that allow one to make a list of video clips which are then played in a random order - like songs and tunes in shuffle mode ? I have spoken with Apple techs and the best they can come up with is making a playlist of videos in itune - BUT they only play in sequential order. In shuffle mode the list freezes after the first video. Is this so hard to do? I have spoken with Apple and other 3rd party developers like Boinx to no avail. I have a Cinema display and mac mini and like to show Vimeo videos - but not always in the same boring order. I am looking for a simple video Playlist app that would allow one to make a list of videos that can be played in a random order. It would be nice if the app also equalized the sound from video to video so one isn't that much louder or softer - but that may be a bridge too far. I'll settle for the random video playlist. If this is not in your area of interest perhaps you can guide me to a developer who might be interested or helpful. Thank you very much Pete

Horizontal Speaker/Headphone slider not intuitive

When I first started using TwistedWave on my iPad, it took me a while to figure out what that horizontal slider did because there is no text beneath it like there is for the Cursor Position and Selection Length. And to make the UI consistent, you really ought to put text beneath the slider, perhaps "Speaker/Headphone Volume." Furthermore, you should move it more to the left to keep it separated from Cursor Position, since it has nothing to do with Cursor Position. If you don't want to add text beneath the slider, consider changing it from a slider into something that looks more like a realistic volume dial.

Strip Silence a voice over track. Pulling out all room noise between words.

More than a gate. With a gate you have to constantly adjust to decent attack/release that fits all words. Strip silence allows you to strip out everything according to your parameters...but go back in and adjust specific releases/attacks to fine tune specifics. A voice over artist's dream!
