Hi all

In Audacity I can take a noise profile and apply it to a recording to remove a background noise, can this be done in twisted wave?

Also I cant see how to compress a recording?

There is no built-in noise removal tool in TwistedWave. Currently, the only option is to use a third party Audio Unit plugin that would do the job. I suggest you have a look at SoundSoap 2 or SoundSoap Pro, from bias:

However, I can see how a noise removal tool could be useful in TwistedWave. I will keep this idea in mind, and see what I can do for a future update.

Concerning the compression, it is also doable with an Audio Unit plugin. Apple's AUDynamicsProcessor plugin, for instance, is available on every mac, and can be used for compression.
