I would like to request a pencil tool feature.
As a voice sound editor, it would be nice having a pencil tool in this software. While there are click / pop removal plugins, it is possible to do more exact and faster editing by using pencil tool. Thank you for your consideration!
Feature Request Friday, May 28, 2010
Although it is possible to repair clicks by copy/pasting audio over the click, I understand a pencil tool could sometimes be quite useful, and maybe more efficient. I will consider it for a future update. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thank you for your understanding, Thomas.
I have edited 100000+ files of mono voice for a corporate environment, and Sound Forge was mainly used. It had a pencil tool feature, and it made cleaning up of difficult mouth noises easy. Often, there weren't copy+pastable wave forms nearby in complex situations. Copy and paste, if it could happen, offers elegant solution, but it was just not always possible. Again, thank you for understanding, and will look forward to the feature in Twisted Wave!!
