I was looking around for some explanation of the "Add Channel" feature and couldn't find it. It would seem to me that TwistedWave could be a good little Multi-Track editor in a pinch - but how to use it that way doesn't seem to be very well described. Is there anything which explains the "Add Channel" feature a little more in depth?
Thanks.
Hi Michael,
In fact, TwistedWave is not really a multi-track editor. It can handle files with many channels, and the "Add Channel" feature's only goal is to add a channel to a multichannel file. It is possible to try using TwistedWave as a multi-track editor, but the functions you would expect to find in a multi-track editor are not as obvious. If you want to go that way, here are a few clues on how to some common multi-track operations with TwistedWave. If you want to add a stereo track to a file, select twice the "Add Channel" function. In order to apply an effect on a single track, double-click (triple if you have markers) a channel to select it, and drag to other channels to extend the selection. If you want the move a track in time relatively to other tracks, you can select and delete some silence at the beginning of a track to move it back. In order to move it forward, place the cursor at the beginning of the track, and "Effects / Insert Silence..." You can play a track solo by selecting it (double click it to select it). |
