Hard limiting

is it possible to apply hard limiting in TwistedWave?  It would be a really useful feature for me.
Absolutely loving using TwistedWave, has made the transition from Windows to Mac much less traumatic!

Hi Natalie,

Thanks! I am glad you like TwistedWave so much.

Hard limiting, or compressing the sound, if that is what you mean, can be done with an Audio Unit plugin. Apple provides some Audio Units by default on every mac, and they can be found from the menu, "Effects/Audio Units/Apple". The one you are looking for is AUDynamicsProcessor.

If that does not suit your needs, many other compressor plugins are available, and you should be able to find one from this comprehensive list of Audio Unit plugins: http://www.macmusic.org/software/cat.php?lang=en&id=7037&view=AU
