Hi
TwistedWavw probably has the best user interface of all audio editors I have tested. It feels very good to work with, but I miss one important thing that all semipro audio apps lack these days, and that's the abillity to set loop points in aiff files and crossfade the loop. Most audio apps seem to be aimed at mp3 playlist type of work, but I'm a sampling musician and I have a crave for looped samples! Is there any way to loop just a section of the sound in TwistedWave and set the loop points so it will work in a sampler?
Hi Lennart,
Thanks! I am glad you like TwistedWave so much. TwistedWave lacks the ability to set loop points, indeed. I know this can be very useful, and will consider it for a future update. For crossfading the loop, in the effects menu, you'll find "Loop Crossfade...", which will crossfade the beginning to the end of the selected region, so that it can be looped seamlessly. Is this what you were looking for? In order to loop a section of the sound, just select it, make sure "Loop Playback" is checked in the Play menu, and start playing. To select the area between two markers, double click between them. |
