Voting is now closed and I'll start working on your ideas
Thanks a lot for participating in this suggestion / voting campaign!
I have accumulated a large number of feature suggestions over time,
and the size of that list is intimidating enough that I am afraid to
look at it. With your help, I now know exactly what to work on
first, second, third...
So multi-track TwistedWave it is. I have not worked on it before by
fear that it would take too long, but as is almost always the case,
I am sure it will be completed sooner than what I would have
thought. It is still a lot of work and I can't give an ETA, but I
made a promise, and it will come.
Long ago, some users that told me they liked TwistedWave's
simplicity and didn't need another multi-track editor. I understand
that, and will try to maintain TwistedWave's spirit as much as
possible. The multi-track features will not add any complexity if
you don't intend to use them.
Not far behind is "non-destructive editing". It was even tied for
first place with multi-track at one point. This is also a
non-trivial thing, but it is in the same family as multi-track, and
I will likely work on both simultaneously.
Then, there are many suggestions that are pretty easy to add and
would definitely make life in TwistedWave easier. I will start by
working on some of them in order to have something to offer as soon
as possible.
Before publicly releasing an update with new features, I will
probably release a beta version of TwistedWave. If you want to test
the new features as soon as they are available, you can select the
option to get beta TwistedWave updates by checking the "Include beta
updates" in the "General" tab of TwistedWave's preferences window.
